dc.description.abstract | The planned maintenance tasks of the Cuyabeno Electric Generation Plant, made up of seven
diesel generators, were optimized in order to have a greater availability of them, reducing the
number of unexpected shutdowns due to failures in the equipment. With this purpose, a
diagnosis of the current situation was performed. It analyzed the current tasks and modes,
failure effects and their consequences, the nine steps of the Optimized Maintenance Planning
(PMO) methodology were used as a guide, both physical data, as digital, as well as
suggestions from operations and maintenance personnel. The execution of this work has
generated the following results: 36% less maintenance costs per barrel of oil produced, an
improvement in the operational availability of 3.71% and a reduction of the initial production
losses of 14% in 2014 To 2015 and 36% from 2015 to 2016. These results have been achieved
with the implementation of new tasks and the optimization of existing ones, improving
maintenance rates, reducing the number of functional failures, optimizing resources and,
generating staff participation of operations in autonomous maintenance activities. All tasks
have been entered into the maintenance management system for execution. It is concluded
that the application of the PMO methodology is effective in equipment with high failure rate.
As well as continuous review of maintenance plans and programs at the Cuyabeno
Generation Plant is recommended. | |
