Resumen
In “GUASLAN” farm, the use of physalis peruviana L. (uvilla) flour was evaluated in the guinea pig feeding in the growing-fattening stage, with different levels (10; 20 and 30 %) in front of a witness treatment, a completely randomized design (DCA) was applied, in a combinatorial arrangement of two factors, were A the levels of uvilla flour and B, sex, with 5 repetitions, and the size of the experimental unit of 2 pigs in total 80 guinea pigs were used, the best productive results were obtained with the inclusion of 10 % of uvilla flour (T1), reaching a final weight (1.31 kg); weight gain (0.71 kg), with an efficient feed conversion (5.87); carcass weight (0.97 kg) and yield (74.39 %). The highest profitability in the growing-fattening stage in guinea pigs, the inclusion of 10 % of uvilla flour was obtained, reaching a profit/cost of 1.28 which the means that for every invested dollar there is a profitability of $ 0,28 USD. When comparing the sex factor of the animal did not show significant statistical differences, however numerically the females manage to overcome the males with final weights of 1.17 kg, weight gain of 0.60 kg, the lowest feed conversion of 7.21, the highest weight and yield to the carcass of 0.85 kg and 72.68 %, respectively. The use the different levels of uvilla flour supplied to guinea pigs of both sexes during the growth- fattening stage, affected positively their productive behavior, since statistically significant results were obtained in the productive parameters evaluated, food that would help us to reduced costs of production in the guinea pig farm excellent yields, so it is suggested to use in the production of guinea pigs in the growing stage the inclusion of 10 % of uvilla flour, as better productive results were obtained and higher economic yields.
