The present research work was realized in San Pedro de Iguazo Community, Quimiag Parish, Riobamba Canton and the Animal Biotechnology and Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Sciences. The main objective was to realize a study of bovine mastitis to control its incidence. Through the technique of California mastitis test (CMT), a total of 16 cows were shown, an incidence was reported of 56, 24% of the left posterior quarter (CPI), 50% of the right posterior quarter (CPD), 43, 75% of the left anterior quarter (CAI), and finally 25% of the right anterior quarter (CAD). It was isolated Gram positive pathogens, where they excelled Staphylococcus sp with a 60.42% and Streptococcus sp with a 25% and other Gram-negative. The sensitivity was determined by antibiogram, for this it were used 6 multiple disks of penicillin, tetracycline, streptomycin, cephalexin, lincomycin and neomycin. In Gran-positives was observed a sensibility of the streptomycin of 66, 67%; and a resistance to the penicillin of 72, 76%, instead in Gram-negatives it was found a sensibility to the neomycin of 85, 71% and a resistance to the cephalexin and lincomycin of 57, 14%. In the evaluation of the best antibiotics in cows with subclinical mastitis, it was are reported a high efficiency with the application of streptomycin and tetracycline with the 100 and 93, 75% respectively, with an increase in milk production of 1, 87 and 0, 88 liters in its order, And therefore the application of tetracycline to control subclinical mastitis is recommended, because treatment costs are low and efficient. Key words: incidence, mastitis, sensibility.
