Resumen
The present study consists of the evaluation of the thermal conditions and the thermal comfort mitigation to which the workers of the dry section laundry area of General Hospital Ambato are subjected in their working day. This investigation began with the qualitative evaluation using the INSHT matrix, which indicates when a risk is trivial, tolerable, moderate, significant, intolerable. In addition, the NTP 330 standard was used for the identification and evaluation of irrigation in a quantitative way and then filling the matrix proposed by the Ministry of Labour. Subsequently, the measurements of the most critical irrigation that is the thermal environment were performed with the WBGT method, the same that quantifies the thermal stress to which each worker in the laundry area is subjected or supported by drying section in the working day, also as sustenance of Support, It is based on the standard NTP 74 thermal comfort Fanger method which helped us to determine the thermal comfort. From the obtained measurements it is proceeded to develop each of the thermal comfort calculations based of the NTP standard: 74 and diagnosis of the thermal environment by means of the norm NTP: 322 in order to know to what level of thermal stress the workers are exposed of the dry section laundry area. Once the measurements taken, a WBGT index of 31.02° C and 100% of unsatisfied people. It was demonstrated that the workers are exposed to thermal stress and thermal discomfort reason for which it is proposed an optimal solution with the purpose of improving the work environment favoring each one of the workers.
