Resumen
This research aims to elaborate a comprehensive maintenance management plan developing and applying a software for the test benches used at Autotrónica (electronic resources-applying automotive sector) and Internal Combustion Engine Laboratories of Automotive Engineering School of Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH). The laboratory and test bench conditions were determined using visual inspection and gathering information. From the found problems, it was posible to determine that there were not information organization, maintenance plans, maintenance plans application record, work order, cleaning, signaling and laboratory organization. Applying the surveys to student and teachers in charge of the school laboratories established practice duration frequency data,profiles and responsibilities. Of this analysis, it was established the need to apply a maintenance management plan including the 5S method – a clean, safe, organized work environment – and to handle the information under standard formats of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty. The maintenance software desing correcting flaws and containing features required in the survey tabulation will provide with a product to be implemented in the laboratories. Thus, running tests were carried out to show the actual system running and to solve problems if necessary. The System Automotive Maintenance Workshop and Laboratory (SAM-W&L) guarantees the quality idicator fulfillment established by accreditation of Automotive Engineering School. We recommend to use an institutional server for SAM-W&L application.
