Resumen
The modeling and construction of a conical worm screw using a CNC of 4 axes didactic machine. Thus replacing the conventional and in many cases handmade methods, hoping to reduce the time of manufacture of this type of mechanical elements improving the process, raising the quality and reducing the production costs of it. The modeling of this conical worm screw prototype is performed, with of the help of the Siemens NX software that facilitates the modeling process and perfect simulations of the mechanization that allows us to analysis the behavior before the manufacture of the prototype, we analyze the selection of different elements necessary to be able to manipulate the step by step motors of the machine that allows us to give movement and to control it with the use of the Mach 3 software through a computer. The CNC machine is constitute by three fundamental systems: The mechanical system for the movement of the four axes, the CNC control system based on microcontrollers responsible for interpreting the instructions and simultaneously performing the control of the mechanical elements; and the program that contains all the information of the actions to be performed. Once the digital prototype is achieved and complying with the initial requirements, it is proceeded with the construction of the model in Teflon obtaining that the CNC system is able to fulfill all the requirements in the realization of the conical worm screw in a fast and efficient way. It is recommended to continue research on CNC systems to promote to the technological development of the school.
