Resumen
The research Design of strategy of educational intervention on psychological violence against women in young adults in the neighborhood of San Vicente, January-June 2016. A descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional study was carried out in the neighborhood of San Vicente, Riobamba to June 2016 with the aim of designing an educational intervention strategy on psychological violence. To obtain the data, a questionnaire was prepared in the Word 2010 program, which included 24 questions whose objective was to characterize the population and determine the knowledge about psychological violence. The interview was applied to 146 young adult women. The data obtained were included in a database created in Excel 2010. The Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 17 was used to tabulate them. The Chi-Square statistic (χ²) and Fisher were used with a significance level of 0.05. It was found that women aged 20 to 24 years were 28.0% (n = 41); 49.3% housewives and primary instruction (n = 72), 65.7% stable union (n = 96); 71.2% with a partner who consumed alcohol (n = 104), 60.2% had a history of domestic violence (n = 88), 99.3% catholic (n = 145), 42.4% (N = 62). Prevalence of unsatisfactory general knowledge about psychological violence was 96.5% (n = 141), 98.6% were not aware of laws and violence prevention (n = 144), 91.7% with unsatisfactory knowledge about Consequences of psychological violence (n = 134). A statistically significant relationship was found between unsatisfactory knowledge and instruction level (p = 0.02) and occupation (p = 0.004). It is concluded that in the women of the study the knowledge about psychological violence are inadequate. Therefore, it is recommended to the leaders of the Lacas San Vicente neighborhood the application of the educational intervention strategy for the prevention of psychological violence.
