dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this work is to demonstrate by implementing electronically controlled supercharging systems in internal combustion engines that a significant increase in volumetric efficiency can be achieved and thus increase engine torque and power It begins with the selection of the appropriate components for the installation of the supercharging system (turbo) with the help of the manufacturer's catalogs and then continue with the modeling and simulation of elements of the system using software (Solidwok) for further elaboration, assembly and testing them. Different tests have been Carried out in order to obtain data which will be analyzed by means of a statistical tool (T-Student) that will allow to compare the different parameters of operation of the engine (Fuel consumption, flow of air entering the engine and acceleration of the vehicle), Before and after the installation of the system. The implementation of these types of systems allows a significant reduction in emissions of polluting gases to the atmosphere, thus contributing to the care and protection of the environment, this also means a reduction of fuel consumption. The results of the gas analysis tests yield satisfactory results based on the NTE INEN (Gas Analysis) Technical Standard as well as the fuel consumption decreases. In addition in the tests carried out on the vehicle an increase in acceleration was noticed.
