Resumen
This research is intended to study the Finite Volume Method to determine the influence of car hood and windscreen inclination in the aerodynamic power behavior as well as the incidence of geometry in the car performance in order to provide students with Knowledge in regarding the automotive aerodynamic behavior to enhance student knowledge. This study was carried out by using three of the most bought SEDAN bran cars in Ecuador which were designed and shaped by the software CAD (Computer Assisted Design) from the SolidWorks Program and thus, once this study stage was concluded it was analyzed by the software CAE (Computer Assistance Engineering) thought the CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamic) from the software ANSYS. The analysis of the three vehicle forward-part as this study sample was carried out to assess the aerodynamic coefficients of dragging and finesse which shows that their particular geometry generates different aerodynamic coefficients of dragging and finesse. Thy study results from the 80 km/h, 100 km/h, 120 km/h-speed vehicles demonstrate that to the highest vehicle-displacement speed the highest dragging-power is generated, that is, the highest speed power overcomes dragging-power and combustible consumption. The Chevrolet AVEO EMOTION GLS demonstrates the highest performance coefficient but the Chevrolet SAIL accounts for the best aerodynamic power and the Chevrolet AVEO FAMILY has a lower dragging-power. The study results reveals that driving to 80 km/h generates a lower combustible consumption therefover it is advisable to make a complete analysis of whole vehicle to get a better of the aerodynamic power behavior.
