dc.description.abstractThe present work of degree is based on the application of the standards Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE) belonging to the student formula for manufacture of a seat and ergonomic firewall intended for a competition vehicle, formula SAE for integrate to Automotive Engineering career of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH) of such competition in the following years. The development of the seat and firewall involve a series of international parameters and standards to consider. All these parameters such as ergonomics, anthropometry, vehicle structure, materials, processes and use of (SAE) standards have been applied to a computational model, through the use computing tools, using the flat tension method by allowing to establish a design and analysis structural adequate to the conditions of the competition. To manufacture the seat and firewall, several processing options were considered, such as quick dirty and mock-up. However, the use of natural fibers as reinforcement of the composite was pre-defined above. One of the main objectives consisted in reduce both the weight of the elements designs, the cost of materials and manufacturing processes. At the end and the manufacturing process and according the data obtained from computational analysis, it was concluded that element could provide necessary degree of security for user, besides providing with necessary comfort. Due to required time and suitable technology, factors such as aerodynamics haven´t been taken in to account over seat and firewall, but a precedent is set for later projects related to improving the performance on the vehicle.
