Resumen
At the farms “Guallabamba” and “Moraspamba” located in Parroquia Guallabamba, Chambo Country, Chimborazo Province, assessed morphometric and production traits of crossbred Holstein cows and pure-bred cows by using 70 crossbred cows and 30 pure-bred cows considering the number of births and production of first lactation stage. The data obtained were subjected to analysis of T student between morphometric measurements, genetic parameters regression and correlation analysis to curve fitting through genetic line between milk production rates and production of the first lactation stage. On the other hand, it determined the following data: head circumference (HC) in crossbred cows 35 +/- 4 and pure-bred cows 35 +/- 3 %, thorax size (TS) 62 +/- 5 and 61 +/- 4 %, lateral corporal size (LCS) 85 +/- 7 and 85 +/- 4 %, anamorphosis size (AS) 2,75 +/- 0,13 and 2,70 +/- 0,14 cm, thoracic dactyl size (TDZ) 110 +/- 5 and 110 +/- 6 %, lateral dactyl size (IDCO) 9 +/- 1 and 10 +/- 0 %, pelvic size (IP) 39 +/- 3 and 39 +/- 2 %, relative thickness hoof size (RTHS) 13 +/- 1 and 13 +/- 1 %, hoof load size (HLS) 4 +/- 0 and 3 +/- 0 %. Among milk production indices at the first phase of lactation determined that the dactyl thoracic size in pure-bred Holstein cows and crossbred Holstein cows 10 +/- 0 and 9 +/- 1%, lateral dactyl size for pure and crossbred Holstein cows were 39 +/- 2 and 39 +/- 3 %, respectively through the quadratic regression analysis showed that 44,32 % of milk production depends on the number of births.
