The treatments were 1 and 2% of curcuma in diets based on sorghum and soya, supplied from 21 to 42 days old. Regarding the production parameters significant differences were it was posible to obtain a final weight of 2053 g unlike to the witness where 1702,07 g were obtained, in trems of feed conversion thes best tratment was the tratment with 2% whit a value of 2,11, obtaining the best performance in the chicken cuts 75,19% by treatment whit 2% curcuma, differing whit the control treatment where a value of 70,44% was obtained, whit respect to pigmentation the best result was shown by adding 2 and 1% of curcuma whit values of 6,39 and 5,50 respectively in the region of the breast, also the best benefit by adding 2% of curcuma with a profit of 0,72 ctv., concluding that the addition of curcuma can improve the production parameters and give a desired pigmentation for the Ecuadorian market.
