dc.description.abstractThe productive Cinnamomun verum (cinnamon) and Ocimun basilicum (bail) effect in Broiler chickens of Ross 308 was evaluated in El Rosario parish, belonging to Guano, Chimborazo Province. These chickens were compared with a control group during 120 days of investigation. By finishing this experiment it was determined that Broilers chickens feeding with Cinnamomun verum T1 and antibiotic growth promoters (AGP) T0 chickens reached the best productive parameters in the final weight, weight gaining and feeding conversion during the initial, growing and fattening stages. The mortality index was reduced in each stage. There were no lesions and parasites compared with the control group (T0) when macroscopic analysis of intestinal lesions and laboratory were carried out to identify the presence of oocysts of Eimerias spp., in the chickens which were fed with Cynnamon (T1) and Basil (T2) so; these can compete with the antibiotic conventional growth promoters. Finally, it was identified the best Benefit-cost index of 1.10 USD by using Cinnamomun verum as natural growth promoter, that is why it is recommended to include them in the food for Broilers chickens because they gave the best productive and economic results so that, poultry farm can take advantage of the natural products as alternative growth promoters in order to get an economic saving and food sovereignty.
