dc.description.abstractEcopaís and E10 biofuels behaviour was evaluated, it also was compared with Extra fuel which is used in a mountainous region, an electronic vehicle injection was used, the changes that occur in engine efficiency due to the height to be studied was evaluated more than 2 500 msnm. Emissions of polluting gases were studied in the mountain area with Extra, Ecopaís and E10 fuels. The experimental process was fulfilled in the research center CCICEV, with a dynamometer and analyzer certificates gases continue to regulations ISO 376 and INEN 2203, making a schedule of activities for testing proposals with Extra fuel Ecopaís and E10. In the laboratory of industrial processes and petroleum School of Chemistry Faculty of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, the mixture of biofuel E10 was made and tests flashpoint, density, distillation were developed to verify compliance with 0926 INEN regulations. The results are certified, following the procedures according to Ecuadorian Technical Standard for the different tests of the degree. The results of the Extra fuel Ecopaís and E10 were compared and analyzed, in terms of torque, power, octane, gas and laboratory tests, obtaining an increase and effective engine parameters, and an increase of polluting gases to biofuels, it is recommended a study of emissions with an extensive fleet of brands and models of vehicles in this region.
