The effect of different sources of polyphenols was evaluated: Allium sativum var. at the poultry farm, “ALTAMIRANOS”. Pekinense (garlic), and Allium strain var. Creole Red (onion), prepared macerated (120.01 mg polyphenols), and a commercial product garlicon 40 in doses of 0,093 and 0,56 ml/l in drinking water supplied in the Lohmann Brown pullets line compared with a control treatment. These treatments had five repetitions with 20 chicks per replicate, Total 300 birds; under a completely randomized design. Results from this study showed that polyphenols act beneficially in the health of the chicks, increasing beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract as Lactobacillus (80%) and reducing the parasitic load Eimeria sp, with garlicon 40 (2700OPG), while the mash was 15100 OPG and 63% Lactobacillus obtained. However, these additives did not influence growth performance in the initial phase (7-28 days), while in the growth phase (5-10 weeks) the effect of polyphenols was in total feed intake meeting 1908,34 g. with garlicon 40 and to the mash, 1902,32 g. while in the third phase (11-18 weeks), also had productive differences due to the different sources of polyphenols, but the best feed conversion of 5,12 was obtained the garlicon 40, and 5,13 with the mash, indicating that the worst with the control (5,30), and finally the cost of production at 18 weeks was 5,84 USD per chick, paw three treatments
