Resumen
The present research approaches on the development of Collaborative Virtual Environment
useful to teaching Web Design, at Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, Extension Morona
Santiago; it was to enhance meaningful learning and optimize hardware resources available in the
Institution, the development of tool called Virtual Collaborative Learning Environment Web
Design (VCLE-WD) was carried out using the Microsoft Solution Framework agile methodology
with a didactic approach, VCLE-WD was used by an experimental group of ten students (group
A) during dictation class with the theme: creation of interactive menus html, it was taken into
counterpart a group of as many students as control (group B) which were limited to the use of
traditional tools like NetBeans, Dreamweaver, VS code among others, then carried out the
evaluation of knowledge acquired by a closed ten-questions test, practical work and teamwork,
instruments that allowed the measurement of meaning learning web design, the results increased
learning 15%, reaching the average rating group A was 8.63 / 10 versus 7.12 / 10 which won the
B group, after tests consumption hardware (memory usage, disk and CPU usage percentage) of
VCLE-WD vs traditional tools; concludes that it is necessary 10% less hardware resources for
use of the software implemented posed by statistical analysis, the hypothesis is proven and the
use of educational software created to improve learning wed design is recommended, it should be
emphasized that the feature highlights the tool is implemented collaborative work in real time
through interactive rooms.
