dc.description.abstractThis implementation is a consistent decision making process for the asesment and response to a petroleum realease and treatment of petroleum contaminated sites in Refinery Esmeraldas with Landfarming Technology. Are described its origin and basic principl es, correct aplication and limitations, and the reduction in concentration of TPH. For this purpose, the addition of bacterial inoculum endogenous (bioaugmentation) is compared with the stimulation of the endogenous microbial population by enhancement of a biotic factors (biostimulation). The project is divided into two phases. The first phase is remedy screening, made a bench scale laboratory study. The second phase is remedy selection a bench - scale or pilot in nature, this level stablished design and oper ation parameters for optimization of the process. It elaborated a Plan of Environmental Control that is aplicated in the phases of construction and operation. Although the measure of growth microbial and biodegradation are satisft that permited obtain a re duction of 92 % of TPH in the unit U1 and 99 % of TPH in the unit U2, with bioaugmentation, similar rate its found intervening the trying to 10 % of matrix sludge/ natural soil, aplicating biostimulation. The material recoverable present level lowers of heavy metal and levels de TPH lower of stablished for the National Regulation for agricultural soil, therefore this work conclude proposing that the soil recuperated its used for install beds of ornamental plant useful in the production of plántulas. T he site is external area of Refinery, requesting USD 17 000.0 during the first year, with capacity for produce 85 000.0 short plants.
