dc.description.abstractThe use of virtual worlds for learning in the subje ct computer networks at the School of Systems and Technologies, Technical University o f Babahoyo, improves the performance of students who rely on this innovative teaching – learning method. A method quasi - experimental was used. The following materials were used, hardware: 2 computers and software: XAMP, Second Life 3D View er, Sloodle, and technology platforms Moodle and Second Life. The techniques us ed were: questionnaires, forums, workshops, projects, glossaries, wikis, cha ts (text and voice) and surveys. It was possible to create an accessible environment, w hich includes all the requirements of the software requirements specifica tion. International standards were applied to create virtual sites and B-learning inte gration. By using standardized z with a significance value of 0.05, a theoretical va lue of 1.96 was obtained. While the value of z calculated in this research is from 15.0 8 which is higher, which it can be concluded that the two study variables are not inde pendent. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted as positive. Applying Web accessibility standards in the development of virtual learning worlds improves interactivity and navigability of users through their contents. It is recommended that the development an d implementation of virtual environments related to accessibility validations m ust be made early using software tools.
