In this work, the analysis of Quality of Service (QoS) over IPv6 in the transmission of VoIP on a corporate LAN, in order to ensure the transmission of traffic Real Time Protocol (RTP) was done. This was done by the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), implementing a test environment for the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo. It was used the scientific method as it looked certain features of the proposed protocols for VoIP technologies and the inductive method allowing to identify the differences and improvements of VoIP over IPv6. It was built a test scenario multi element Hardware, Computer equipment, Routers, Switch, Hub, energy regulator, and other network devices. In Software was used Linux OS Software for VoIP, and traffic monitoring software "wireshark" SIP Communicator client software (Jitsi) Driver 2.0 Dahdicomplete, Vyatta routing software, and a traffic generator based on C " Mausezahn ". Among the implemented QoS tools, and develop in an atmosphere of free software, it was used outbound policies: Traffic Shaper and Rate Control, Vyatta routing software (Linux). This project demonstrated the competitive advantages of IPv6 over IPv4. It was identified better bandwidth IPv4 without QoS, reaching 46% of its optimal value. The same indicator with IPV6 without QoS, reaches 56% and IPV6 but applying QoS, reaches values close to 100% of the optimum. For indicator packets lost, in the case of IPV4 without QoS, was got a 26%, 21% IPV6 without QoS and IPv6 QoS, 0.3%. In Latency and Jitter indicators behavior was obtained with the same trend, where IPv4 environments were observed farther to the optimum values recommended in situations where further applied IPV6 IPV6 and QoS. According to the analysis in this project, it is concluded that the application of Quality of Service (QoS) over IPv6 improves the transmission of VoIP in a LAN. It is recommended the implementation of QoS on IPv6 protocol, in order to improve the transmission of VoIP (Voice over IP) in a corporate network.
