Abstract

ABSTRACT in Santo Domingo canton, Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas - province, forage mixtures were evaluated such as: T1 (50% Savoy + 50% kudzu). T2 (50% + Savoy + Peanut forage) and T3 (50% Savoy + 25 % kudzu + Peanut forage) more concentrated with a sign(100% Savoy) for feeding guinea pigs in growth fattening stage by using in 64 guinea pigs of both sex which are weaned off from 21 days of age, and distributed according to a completely randomized design in accordance Bifactorial, using four replicates per treatment and an experimental unit with two animals. Finding that males and females of guinea pigs weighed 1218.56 and 1059 gr obtaining a difference in weight of 928.53 and 711.09 gr, and a total feed intake of 7967.17 and 6712.46 gr. Obtaining a feed conversion of 8.58 and 8.76 gr, then it is important to mention that in two parameters found statistical differences which are recorded after obtaining the meat from the animals; being the T3 and T1 obtaining this form 832.44 gr and performance of the beef with 72.24% and 71.27%. Through the economic analysis, cost / kg of weight profit in males and females was (2.00 dollars), (1.68 dollars), and finally B/C (1.33 and 1.34) respectively. It recommends for the humid tropics climate to buy and use fodder mixtures of (Savoy + Kudzu + Peanut Forage) more concentrated in the fattening growth stage.
