The native bacterial consortium was obtained from the sediment of the Colta lagoon. Colta Canton. Province of Chimborazo, for the treatment of the sediment dredged in the lagoon. Sampling of the sediment, inoculation of samples, isolation of mixed culture strains, macroscopic and microscopic characterization is carried out with these strains, different tests are performed: degradative power, antagonism and identification, to finally perform the massification, this process is executed to obtain the native bacterial consortium of the sediment of the Colta lagoon. This process is carried out with the following equipment: Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), autoclave, horizontal laminar flow chamber, incubator, muffle, among the main ones. In the development of the tests of degradative power and antagonism, 9 bacterial strains were obtained. Then the identification was performed, with a percentage of efficiency: P5: Escherichia coli-inactive, P6: Xenorhabdus nematophilys, P10: Providencia stuartii, P11: Shigella serogroups A, B and C, P12: Xanthomona maltophilia, P13: Morganella morganii biogp 1, P17: Escherichia coli-inactive, P18: Providencia stuartii; P24: Escherichia coli-inactive. Finally, massification was carried out, obtaining optimum results of mesophilic aerobes: 276X108 CFU/mL. From the tests carried out and the results obtained, 9 strains are the most optimal for forming the native bacterial consortium of the sediment of the Colta lagoon. It is recommended that the GAD of Colta treat the sediment of the Colta lagoon by obtaining the bacterial consortium in order to reduce the impacts caused in this area by the sediment dredged from the lagoon.
