Resumen
The construction and implementation of a measuring device on vehicle fluid levels for the laboratories at the Automotive Engineering School, has as objective to observe and analyze the importance of various automotive fluids for a good performance through the development of design, construction and analysis both electronic and mechanical, which verify the influence of refrigerant levels, hydraulic steering, engine oil, gearbox oil, wipers on the performance and life of the car. The project development process began with the use of solidworks software for the simulation about the metal structure design, that supports the gearbox casing and deposits according to manufacturing standard ASTM A500 / NTE INEN 2415. In the unit electronics design of fluid level, was used the simulation software for microcontrollers, which together with the data produced by the sensors analog type, and scheduling parameters obtained through finite methods were able to get graphics data of percentages fluid levels by a GLCD touchscreen, and the control ignition test. The main components acquired for the development of a measuring device fluid levels were: gearbox, GLCD display, microprocessor, storage, among others. The results obtained at the end showed that the ignition system fluid levels should be above 3/4 of its maximum capacity, otherwise the GLCD screen throws the red box indicating a critical level, it does not fulfilled with the ignition system. It is recommended to use this study allows us to recognize the operation of fluids, which preserve the same good performance and increase the life of the mechanical parts in the car.
