Resumen
The present work aims modify mechanics and electronically the engine vehicle Corsa Wind 1300 cc OHC distribution, with deploying a programmable electronic control unit and a distribution system DOHC of 16 valves, with the purpose of achieving an increase in the power motor and a correct entry and evacuation of the intake and exhaust gases. The mechanical modification was performed with the help of catalogs, workshop manuals and through initials calculations of the gearbox and engine, lightening the weight of pistons and connecting rods to increase the number of revolutions of the engine; with the implementation of the distribution system DOHC improved the volumetric efficiency with the construction of an intake system independent ITB (Individual Throttle Body) and an exhaust system (header). The electronic modification was achieved with a system control electronic programmable Mega Squirt that helped vary parameters initial in the injection time, ignition advance, coolant temperature enrichment, cold start, ignition by volumetric efficiency and calibrations in real time, getting a good set-up on climates and heights about the sea level, where are developed the competencies. The results obtained in the acceleration and consumption tests in the modified engine, indicate an increase of 35% power respect of the standard engine, fulfilling with the objectives proposed in starting this research. It is recommended to use this project in vehicles that are immersed in the field of the automobile competitions.
