Resumen
In the leather tanning Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science of ESPOCH was
obtained corrected grain leather for shoes, using three binder levels impregnation,
the experimental units, 30 goatskins, were modeled under a completely
randomized design in accordance combinatorial with three treatments, five
replicates in two trials. In assessing the physical resistance of leather, highly
significant differences were determined between means of treatment, the best
results of tensile strength (158,20 N/cm2), lastometría (8,13 mm) and percent
elongation (58,0%) was 250 g when using binder (T3). In the sensory evaluation
the best response for the filling (4,60 points) and ease of fine (4,70 points) was
with 200g (T1) of binder, as fully as was reported when using 250g, (T3) binder.
Resistors physical and sensory trials, reported no statistical differences due
treatments. When making clothing shoe with three treatments was achieved using
more leather surface. The economic evaluation, the best results were obtained
with 250 g of binder in the impregnation, for the benefit of the cost was 1,25,
meaning that for every dollar invested was obtained gain 25 cents, or 25% of
income that is superior to other productive activities. 250 g are advised to apply
impregnation binder to increase the physical resistance, preventing the outbreak of
the flower or breakage of the collagen fibers, when assembling the shoe.
