Resumen
The design of the wastewater treatment and reuse system generated by the ESPOCH dairy plant. To develop this research, the experimental method was applied using induction and deduction as logical processes to analyze the problems caused by liquid effluents and to look for alternatives based on studies related to wastewater treatment proposed by several authors. For this purpose, sampling, physical-chemical analysis and treatability tests were carried out, using: containers, precipitation glasses, pH meter, nephenometer, pipettes, test tubes and jar test. The effluent generated is of biodegradable organic origin, which is reflected by the high Biochemical Oxygen Demand 11700 mL/L, Chemical Oxygen Demand 15900 mL/L and Total Suspended Solids 1500 mL/L, also basic pH 11.41 and Turbidity 1138 NTU, which are out of the parameters established in the book V? "TULES". In order to eliminate the greatest amount of contaminants, the treatment system was designed with three pieces of equipment: a primary circular sedimenter of 1.0m3 capacity, to carry out a chemical coagulation process, an aerobic aerated lagoon of 10.5m3 capacity and a secondary circular sedimenter of 0.5m3 capacity. We conclude that the system will remove Biochemical Oxygen Demand by 97.1%, Chemical Oxygen Demand by 96.8%, Total Suspended Solids by 92.6%, decrease turbidity >1 NTU and maintain pH <7, making it suitable for agricultural use. We recommend implementing this proposed treatment system to reduce water pollution at the Tunshi Experimental Station.
