The design and pilot test of an emission reduction system for the feed production area was carried out at ALIMENTSA S.A., located in the industrial sector of Duran, Guayas Province, using the experimental method to study the impact and contamination in the different zones that make up the production area of the plant, selecting the monitoring points by collecting particles in open containers (EPA method 502). 5 and PMIO in the peeling area of the plant using a low-flow sampler, in addition to measuring respirable dust with the use of a dust dosimeter, monitoring air quality by gas chromatography and measuring the air system through the validation method by the ELICROM laboratory. (Specialized laboratory and environmental analysis and monitoring) to determine the degree of reliability of the system a pilot test and subsequent monitoring of PM2.5 and PM10 was performed. The PM2.5 and P.V110 measurements in the Pelletízado area were 71.87 and 216 2 ug/m³, respectively, demonstrating that the system does not comply with current environmental regulations. The pilot test of an emissions reduction system resulted in a 10% reduction in the feed production area. A pilot test of a system to reduce emissions in the production area of ALIMENTSA S.A. was designed and carried out, which was accepted for the control of fines, determining the degree of reliability of the system. Through the monitoring of PNO.5 and PM10, to achieve a higher percentage in the reduction of emissions. It is recommended to build the cyclone for fines collection at the outlet of the Geelen cooler duel and replace the turbine and fan of the Muyang cooler with stainless steel.
