Resumen
At the Tanning Lab of the Cattle and Live Livestock Science Faculty of the ESPOCH, the nobuck leather obtainment using three color intensifier levels (0.5, 1 and 1.5%), was evaluated. The experimental units were modeled under a completely at random design in bi-factorial arrangement, with 3 treatments, 4 replications and in 3 consecutive trials. From the sense analysis of leather it is shown that upon using 1% the color intensifier (T2), the best writing effect (4,67 points), color intensity (4,50 points), and softness (4,50 points), were reported with marks of VERY GOOD, ie leather soft to touch end very intense color. The evaluation of the physical features show that the higher the color intensifier levels the higher the physical resistances especially in treatment (T2), with results for solidity to light of 4.67 points over a reference mark of 5 points for the elongation percentage of 42.42 %, and for flower breaking resistance of 53.25 cycles. As to the benefit-cost, analysis it was evident that upon using 1% color intensifier profit was higher (1.35), while the least profit was recorded in leather with 1.5% profit intensifier (B / C 1.25). It is therefore recommended to use 1% color intensifier in the nobuck leather obtainment as the material presents better physical conditions and the highest sense marks as well as the highest benefit-cost.
