Resumen
The Construction of a Didactic Model for the Illumination of a Vehicle Controlled with a Can Bus System, for the Laboratory of the Automotive Engineering School is a theme chosen to construct a Didactic Model of the Vehicle Illumination Controlled with a Can Bus System. The investigation process was performed through a theoretical – practical study of the actual communication system used in the automobile, with is electrical and electronic components, having efficient affects and avoiding functioning errors. The components for the development of the Didactic Model are iron pipes, agglomerated board, headlights, saloon light, plate light, light control lever, Body Control Module (BCM), instrument board, cables and battery. The results were positive because the Didactic Model was carried out and it functioned adequately according to the established planning. Through the study new knowledge on the Can Bus protocol was acquired; the project will be useful for students and teachers of the Automotive School; with practices in the Didactic Model the student will learn from another point of view the vehicle light system responsibility controlled by the Can Bus. It is recommended to verify the battery condition with a voltmeter when using the Didactic Model, confirm the normal functioning voltage to avoid error generation in the Body Control Module and follow the light circuit connection instruction in the Didactic Model.
