Immunological castration is a method for managing odor, by this technique is a whole animal breeding free of boar taint by a non invasive method thus pigs are castrated in order to reduce aggressive behavior, to facilitate management and eliminate the characteristics odor of fresh carcass male pigs from integers which becomes less appetizing. For this reason, it had been studied mechanisms to reduce such problems by the method of castration being the most acceptable results using the synthetic protein analogous GnRF (Improvac), vaccine which allows the castration of male pigs to through the formation of antibodies against the Gonadotropins Releasing Factor (GnRF), the same is the achieve similar effects of surgical castration. Calderón, O. (2010) notes that inmunocastrads pigs reached weights, weight gain, daily weight gain, feed conversion and back fat thickness of 113.22 kg, 44.45 kg, 987.61 g, 3.69 and 12.05 mm, more efficient pigs surgically castrated, being similar to those reported by Agroterra.com. Concluding that the inmunocastration of pigs can record increasing weight of 34.44 %, compared to surgical castration increasing 33.31 %, so a better weight gain, consequently better-feed conversion in pigs; recommending the inmunocastration in pigs to eliminate the aggression, meat flavor and improve productive parameters.
