dc.description.abstractThis research was developed to create new technologies in raising substitution heifers for production. The objective is to identify different feeding systems in substitution heifers and compare the advantages and disadvantages of the feeding systems. The scientific method was used in this research. The substitution heifers feeding systems are of fundamental importance in livestock, since this factor determines 70% the production and productivity, therefore it is necessary to feed the future cows with the best feeding systems, starting with the supply of colostrums during the first 3 days, the supply of whole milk or milk replacement quality and after weaning a good feeding program such as hay, green forage and concentrate in order to obtain excellent weights which influence in a good dairy cow to express its genetic potencial. The food quality depends on the nutrients proportion, which through a digestion process are transformed into animal origin compounds by the microorganisms action in the rumen, enzymes and temperature. It can be concluded that the availability of technological packages such as the use of hydroponic forage plus grass in growing crossbred heifers, use of growth promotes in mixed Holstein calves feeding, anabolics application, dewarming and multivitamins allow to improve the substitution heifers productive performance which are expressed in milk production. It is recommended to spread technological packages generated in research to agricultural enterprises, which generated higher productive and economical performance.
