Resumen
"In the Orellana Oriental Province the Consortium Block 18 and Tivacuno Area
belonging o the REPSOL (A private operalor) a chemical reatmen! system was.
designed for the control and monitoring of he intemal corrosion o the gas lines
al the Southern Production Faces (SPF) to incorporate means and devices
guarantecing the integrity of the instalions, trough the implementation of
anticortosive treatment which will help control the serious intemal corrsion
problems.
The deduciive, inducive, experimental and field testing melñods were used
which help review the historical information, cary out physical and chemical
analyses and use the monitoring techniques (electrical resistance test tubes)
which permitted o perform a gas system diagnosis, on heses bases a chemical
reatment was applled consisting of a flm-iype corrosin inhibtor (Prolerquim
1900X) through pneumatic atomization with 1.4 mm diameter tip, resulting
results and thus diminishing the 317 mpy at 64 mpy corrosion velocity, with
which an 80% treatment efficiency was altained, maximizing the service lfe on
lines, equipment and. accessories for times longer a year, providing a higher
security lo the personal, operations and diminishing the corrective maintenance
costs."
