Resumen
"Optimization of he Residual Water Plat Nº 1 in the Joya de los Sachas Camon,
Orellana Province. For this investigation the analyical method was used with which the
important variables for the analysis of th ile and outlet residual water of he treatment
system were determined.
Moreover the physical, chemical and biological conditions of the treated water at the plant
were known. The analyses were carried out at the laboratory with specific equipment for
the Ph, temperature, gravimetric for solids, spectrofometic for chloride, incubation for
DBO and fecal coliformes, digestion or DQO and specific materials such as test tubes,
small sepladder, pipete, recipittion glasses and Petri box. For the in situ sampling oe:
residual water glass botles and steile Mask, gloves and a mask were used.
The results show tbat the Fecal coliform concentration do not accomplish the morm; the:
úlher considered parameters do accomplish it. For the coliform removal a disinfection
system is implemented which requires a chloride solution or Appm and it ís possible to
reduce the coliform concentration by a 99.9%. To impede the garbage entrance to the plant,
wo serial grills(1.Imx0, 60m), a big grill with 13 metallic bars, 1.8 cm thick and Jem.
spacing between them and a small grill with 16 metalic bars, 0.%cm thick and 2 cm
spacing.
The optimization is of great importance as it permi o discharge a good quality eíMuent to
the Quinchayacu River, which accomplishes the maximum permisible limits or residual
water discharge to a fresh water body, established in the actual Ecuadorian environmental
nor, thus bencfíing the population.
The population is recommended to follow up the quality of the water treated in the
treatment system to control its good functioning and provide an adequate maintenance to,
his way avoid obstruction and decay."
