dc.description.abstract"This study s a contribution to protect the environment by using an alternative insccticide. The rescarch evaluated the insccts activity of the essential oils of Tzinsu (Tagetes minuta), Quichia (Tagetes ternilora) and Zorrillo (Tagetes =ipaquirensis) on the larva of the white worm in potatocs (Premnotrypes vorax). These were denominated as Tl, T2, T3. The objective of this rescarch is to get a bio insccticide as a replacement to the chemical insccticides which cause environmental impact and damage the farmer's health. The procedure used was the following: the oils were extracted from the fresh vegetable by dragging the sicam of the water, and then dilutions were prepared to concentrations of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, and 1.0%. These procedure was applicd in the dicts of the larvas to determinate their mortality. 17 Treatments are being developed in a triple way. The reference was the white one (potatocs: Solanun tuberosum) and for the insecticide control (potatocs more CARBOFURAN), to these results was applied a variance and the test of Tukey to the 5%. The results were: the larvas were climinated in a 50% to the 14 days and excecd to the 75% to the 21 days of the test. Statistically it is considered an average of maximum mortality of 2 in the determined parameter which was “significance in treatments” The average of mortality for T3 1.1307 and for Tl 1.2187 to the 7 days and finally for T2 1.3707 to the 21 days of the test. The essential oils have insccticide effect by contact and inhibition in the fecding but to a diferent time. In conclusion this knowledge can be used to industrialize a new insccticide which conserves the environment."
