Resumen
The research is about the maintenance optimization in relation to the Bioalimentar Co. Ltd. enterprise cost. With the purpose of reducing the total maintenance costs, due to the company spends too much, this is because the maintenance was performed in a limited way through a corrective action. That´s why management tools to help optimize the maintenance plan have been implemented. It was determined that the critical equipment in the balanced food plant are: the mill, mixer and peeler through a criticality analysis. These machines have been subjected to AFME (Analysis of failure mode and effects) (AMEF) and the assessment diagram to select and
evaluate the tasks in order to eliminate the failure mode to prevent the corrective maintenance and control the preventive maintenance.
To implement the preventive maintenance optimization related to the cost has contributed to reduce the total costs by 7,3% from 2009 to 2010.
To increase availability ratios by 2%, 4% efficiency and reduce the maintenance costs improves profitability. The numerical parameter which should evaluate the maintenance optimization related to the cost is the profitability and this indicator can evaluate the contribution of de maintenance department to fulfill the objectives of the company. It is also recommended to ofer a constant training for the staff based on maintenance management skills and guarantee continuity for the equipment preventive maintenance plan.
