q-Gamow States as continuous linear functionals on analytical test functions
(Elsevier Science, 2016-04)
We define here q-Gamow states corresponding to Tsallis' q-statistics. We compute for them their norm, mean energy value and the q-analogue of the Breit-Wigner distribution (a q-Breit-Wigner).
Use of the q-Gaussian mutation in evolutionary algorithms
(SPRINGER, 2011)
This paper proposes the use of the q-Gaussian mutation with self-adaptation of the shape of the mutation distribution in evolutionary algorithms. The shape of the q-Gaussian mutation distribution is controlled by a real ...
Expression of common fragile sites in two Ceboidea species: Saimiri boliviensis and Alouatta caraya (Primates: Platyrrhini)
(BioMed Central, 2000-02)
Fragile sites are points of preferential breakage that may be involved in chromosome rearrangements. Induction of common fragile sites (c-fra) and spontaneous breakage were analyzed in two New World Monkeys species: Saimiri ...
Estudo comparativo de abordagens de inversão do fator de qualidade Q
(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do NorteBRUFRNPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Geodinâmica e GeofísicaGeodinâmica; Geofísica, 2010-01-28)
Seismic wave dispersion and attenuation studies have become an important tool for lithology and fluid discrimination in hydrocarbon reservoirs. The processes associated to attenuation are complex and are encapsulated in a ...
On testing the Phillips curves, the IS Curves, and the interaction between fiscal and monetary policies
(2013-11-27)
Esta tese é composta por três ensaios sobre testes empíricos de curvas de Phillips, curvas IS e a interação entre as políticas fiscal e monetária. O primeiro ensaio ('Curvas de Phillips: um Teste Abrangente') testa curvas ...
Comparison of transperineal ultrasound with POP-Q for assessing symptoms of prolapse
(2019)
Introduction: Our aim was to study any correlation between pelvic organ prolapse quantification (POP-Q) and ultrasound measurement of prolapse in women from a normal population and to identify the method with a stronger ...
