New method to control particle size and particle size distribution of SnO2 nanoparticles for gas sensor applications
(2000-07-05)
The nucleation and growth of the SnO2 were controlled using the Nb2O5 as additive. Preliminary gas sensing measurements revealed that the response time of the Nb2O5-doped SnO2 is faster than that of the undoped material.
Planar waveguides based on nanocrystalline and Er3+ doped SnO2
(Trans Tech Publications Ltd, 2002-01-01)
Luminescent SnO2: x%mol Er3+ (x=0.1-2.0) thin films have been spin coated on borosilicate and silica substrates from water colloidal suspensions that could be prepared containing up to 40% in weight SnO2 nanocrystalline ...

Influence of rare earth doping on the structural and catalytic properties of nanostructured tin oxide
(Springer, 2008-05-01)
Nanoparticles of tin oxide, doped with Ce and Y, were prepared using the polymeric precursor method. The structural variations of the tin oxide nanoparticles were characterized by means of nitrogen physisorption, carbon ...

Rare Earth Doped SnO(2) Nanoscaled Powders and Coatings: Enhanced Photoluminescence in Water and Waveguiding Properties
(AMER SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHERS, 2011)
Luminescent Eu(3+) and Er(3+) doped SnO(2) powders have been prepared by Sn(4+) hydrolysis followed by a controlled growth reaction using a particle`s surface modifier in order to avoid particles aggregation. The powders ...
Surface modification of SnO 2 nanoparticles containing Mg or Fe: Effects on sintering
(2007)
Controlling the surface chemistry of oxide systems has emerged an effective tool to obtain desirable nanostructures and macro properties. A relatively simple way to achieve this is by using dopants that are prone to segregate ...
