Using photosensitive dye to improve multi walled carbon nanotubes dispersion
(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2011-11)
As already well-known, the outstanding mechanical and electrical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNT) are partially lost when CNT aggregate. The fact that CNT tend to aggregate makes difficult to put them into a host matrix, ...
Development and physicochemical characterization of solid dispersions containing praziquantel for the treatment of schistosomiasis
(2017-02-01)
Praziquantel (PZQ) is an anthelminthic agent active against parasitic flatworms of the Schistosoma type and the most important drug for the treatment and morbidity control of schistosomiasis. In this study, a high-performance ...
Unexpected Performance of Physical Mixtures over Solid Dispersions on the Dissolution Behavior of Benznidazole from Tablets
(Wiley, 2013-03)
This work investigated the feasibility of developing benznidazole (BZL) tablets, allowing fast, reproducible, and complete drug dissolution, by compressing BZL-Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) 6000 physical mixtures (PMs) and ...
Light Dispersion In Space
(SPIE-INT SOC OPTICAL ENGINEERINGBELLINGHAM, 2015)
Influencia del método de dispersión en el fraccionamiento físico de un suelo de Argentina centralFour dispersion methods, typically applied to soil physical fractionation protocols, were compared in a Mollisol from mountain grasslands from central Argentina. The proportion of coarse and fine soil fractions obtained after dispersion was significantly different. Considering that mineral fractions after dispersion using glass beads did not differ from granulometric analysis, this method achieved better results than sonication or shaking with chemical dispersant for evaluated soils.
Nonlinear impurity in a lattice: Dispersion effects
(2003)
We examine the bound state(s) associated with a single cubic nonlinear impurity, in a one-dimensional tight-binding lattice, where hopping to first- and second-nearest neighbors is allowed. The model is solved in a closed ...
Cranial morphological diversity of early, middle, and late Holocene Brazilian groups: Implications for human dispersion in Brazil
(Hoboken, 2014-09)
The history of human occupation in Brazil dates to at least 14 kyr BP, and the country has the largest record of early human remains from the continent. Despite the importance and richness of Brazilian human skeletal ...
