| dc.description | Paleodemography is a relatively new line of research. Analyzing human skeletal remains of ancient populations we can reconstruct their demographic profile and go beyond the skeletal information. Nevertheless, some methodological problems have aroused with the inclusion of demographic statistical tools. The purpose of this paper is to show the experience of the Mexican physical anthropologist in the studies of paleodemography by presenting a synthesis of the progresses in the study of Mexican Mesoamerican and Colonial populations. | |
