This article aims to: analyze the configuration of comprehensive health care of the child with ace ESFs in order to contribute to the qualification of the work processes on the comprehensive care of this population segment in Santa Maria-RS. Method: This is an exploratory qualitative approach, carried out in two ESFs, with nurses, doctors and managers of municipal and state Child Health Policy. Results: according to managing the city follows the agenda Commitment to Comprehensive Child Health and Infant Mortality Reduction, however it was noted that the management and care are still based on the hegemonic model. Final Thoughts: For the ESFs to provide a comprehensive health care of the child requires more commitment and involvement of management in order to reorganize the work process of teams, Multidisciplinary Residency has a role to leverage these changes.
