Resumen
Technological advances seek to improve people's quality of life, and studies involving composite materials, especially polymer composites reinforced with synthetic fibers, are intended to meet the technological and economic requirements imposed by the market. The objective of this work is to develop and analyze the mechanical properties and fracture characteristics of a composite laminate reinforced with a fabric of hybrid Kevlar / 49 fibers and glass / E fibers impregnated with orthophthalic polyester resin, the influence of anisotropy and the loading of uniaxial compression. To analyze the influence of anisotropy, two configurations of test specimens (cp's) were used in relation to the orientation of the fibers in relation to the direction of the applied load. The results show that both the anisotropy and the loading type influence the losses or gain of the mechanical properties.
