Resumen
According to the World Economic Forum 65% of young people in basic education
will work in professions that do not yet exist. A study commissioned by Dell
Technologies for the IFTF (Institute for the future), predicts that “thanks to technological
advances, by 2030, approximately 85% of professions will be new, that is, they have not
even been invented yet”. With all the advances and changes that we are experiencing, we
need to understand how our young people will qualify to occupy these professions that
are still unknown, since we live in a discouraging scenario of their backgrounds. Studies
by IDEB (Basic Education Development Index) show that school dropout each year is
575 thousand students - practically every minute 1 student leaves a high school in Brazil.
Specifically in Rio Grande do Norte, in high school, the index has a score of 3.2 where
the desired average is 7.0. It is important to have an intermediary between schools and
students in order to increase interest in knowledge and decrease school dropout, as well
as prepare such students for professions that do not yet exist. Thus, Scholae 3.0 appears.
Scholae means school in Latin and it is a new approach that aims to prepare high school
students for the world: that of innovative entrepreneurship. The Scholae 3.0 approach,
was applied to high school students from the public school system in Rio Grande do
Norte, impacting around 1000 students. The project's actions were carried out in the
inPACTA incubator, in the laboratories of the School of Science and Technology and in
the students' own school. As a result of the research, the Scholae Methodology 3.0 was
created, based on entrepreneurial, creative and innovative methods and tools, which
resulted in actions and participations in Entrepreneurial Education Seminars of
ABENGE, Brazilian Association of Education in Engineering and Science Week and
Technology at UFRN, in addition to interventions in the schools themselves, such as
Thematic Sample, Knowledge Fair, evaluative actions, course completion projects and
monitoring. Awakening in public school students a new way of thinking based on the
identification of opportunities and the creation of startups. Scholae 3.0 intends to develop
the student for the current world, through the training of these youngsters in tools that
awaken their entrepreneurial potential, so that they create well-defined support objectives
while still young, favoring the implementation of ventures that can insert in their minds
and take them them to understand that they have an important role in the present and in
the future of the Society: employability and income generation, for themselves and for
others.
