Resumen
Face-to-face meetings are present in several distance education courses, being today a very resource used to bringing students and tutors. By participating in the specialization course in Educational Training in professional education in Healthcare-Nursing-CEFPEPE, offered by the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, realized the disaffection of some students and even face-to-face encounters during evasion. This situation motivated and showed the importance of this study, which aimed to understand the perception of students in relation to in-person meetings. The methodology was qualitative approach and through the norteadoras questions "what do we mean by face-to-face time and what is your perception about the face-to-face time." The data were collected after approval of the Ethics Committee at the Federal University of Minas Gerais/MG, through recorded interviews and preserve the anonymity of the nine participants. The testimonials were transcribed and analysed in accordance with Minayo (2004) thematic analysis mode. Participants, we interviewed nine females and a male, which proves the speaks of various authors on the predominance of women in the field of nursing. It was found that students have the perception that the face-to-face meetings represent the opportunity of interacting with tutor and colleagues and that this makes it possible to clarify the doubts that remained over the modules and in discussions over the internet. The results show that it is of the utmost importance that each student undertakes, engage with the questions, making this a pleasurable moment and a two-way street, where not only teaches, but also learns that provides reciprocal reflections.
