Resumen
Hemodynamic Laboratories were created and expanded with the goal of contributing to the reduction of mortality rates from heart disease. The intended study includes coronary arteries with diagnostic clarification purposes such as percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and coronary stent apposition. The removal of the arterial sheath after percutaneous coronary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures can be performed by a professional nurse. It is necessary that this professional is knowledgeable about the eminent risk, as the implications and complications that can appear at the puncture site. The aim of this study is to identify the evidence available in the literature on complications at the site of arterial access in the practice of withdrawal of arterial introducers after percutaneous coronary interventions. To achieve this goal, it was used as a research method to integrative review, which allows the researcher to conduct a survey of studies already made by focusing on the best evidence presented to clarify the proposal. As a result, percutaneous coronary intervention is an effective therapeutic option. However, there are complications evident in work such as pseudoaneurysm, bruises, and vasovagal response. In conclusion, compared with the volume of interventions delivered and the number of complications associated with percutaneous coronary intervention, there was evidence that shows that the techniques of hemostasis are being performed effectively.
