The main purpose of the work is to carry out a documentary review on the types of corporate strategy and how it is applied by SMEs that produce footwear in the Restrepo city of Bogotá sector, through previous research related to the subject of interest and theories presented by different authors on the types of corporate strategies that exist in the business environment. Through the dilemma about what are the types of corporate strategy that exist in the business environment in relation to the characterization by SMEs that produce footwear in the Restrepo city of Bogotá sector, the exercise of analyzing the complexity that the company has in Regarding the strategy you want to adopt, for this reason the methodology applied for this work is on a documentary review with a qualitative approach, this in order to describe the types of corporate strategies and specific qualities related to the research. For example, the types of strategy, trends related to the footwear sector worldwide and characteristics of the SWOT matrix in relation to SMEs that produce footwear in the Restrepo city of Bogotá sector. The importance of knowing the limitations and scenarios in which each one of them operate is important for the process of applying each strategy. Both internal and external analysis allow each of these small and medium-sized companies to be connected with the development of the footwear industry and work with the strategy that best suits their situation.
