Metabolic diseases or production disease affects dairy cattle to a greater extent, it is clinical hypocalcemia or milk fever, which is defined by some authors as a metabolic imbalance, this imbalance which affects between 3 and 10% of cows during the period between 24 hours before calving and 24 hours after it, is the cause of economic losses due to low production of dairy herds and losses of high production animals for dairy herds, that is why it was determined by means of A bibliographic review of the factors associated with the presentation of bovine hypocalcemia in dairy cattle in Latin America.
