Resumen
Location of housing and neighborhoods is meant to encourage the relationship between inhabitants, urban systems and city services. This article intends to demonstrate that conditions for Bogota´s Prioritary Social Housing Program beneficiaries in the urban periphery are not the same for those who live in the center. Two projects will be analyzed: Plaza de la Hoja and Colores de Bolonia in order to understand the perception of residential satisfaction, while focusing on the proximity to services, public facilities, and urban mobility infrastructures. The research methods used include specifically designed survey and direct observation. The results indicate that the beneficiaries of such projects located in the periphery are significantly affected because of higher transportation costs, longer commutes, and less proximity to urban services and public facilities.
