| dc.description.abstract | Los estudios ambientales dirigidos a la Gestión Ambiental y el Ordenamiento Territorial, constituyen pautas importantes en los procesos de modificación y aprovechamiento del patrimonio social y natural en cualquier ámbito (nacional, local), determinados por los modelos de desarrollo imperante. Abundan los ejemplos en nuestra área geográfica. En Cuba, se han realizado estudios sobre el medio ambiente, generalmente relacionados con obras de construcción de diferente carácter, de interés para la Economía Nacional, en una primera etapa durante los años de Revolución, incorporándose paulatinamente investigaciones integradas (de componentes naturales, económicos y sociales) en toda la extensión del territorio nacional, con la incorporación y articulación de intereses, de cada sector ramal y territorial, de la materialización del proyecto social cubano. El Paisaje como unidad natural, objetiva y sistémica del "orden" de la naturaleza, constituye el fundamento material sobre el que se realiza la actividad productiva e impactante de la sociedad humana, por lo que constituye la base para la planificación de los territorios (asignación de funciones y distribución de la actividad económica racionalmente), y permite obtener una idea integradora y sintética de la naturaleza, pues refleja la interrelación e intercondicionamiento de los fenómenos que ocurren en el planeta, los cuales se organizan bajo la forma de un sistema particular, en el cual se manifiestan una serie de regularidades de diferenciación espacial. El diagnóstico geoecológico de los paisajes del Municipio Caimito, provincia La Habana (Bayón, P, 2000), se inserta en la concepción de dirigir las investigaciones ambientales hacia los intereses de los Órganos Locales de Gobierno, configurando la elaboración del atlas ambiental territorial, a través del Proyecto de “Diagnóstico ambiental preliminar del Municipio Caimito” (Hernández de la Oliva, Ismael...[et al], 2002) del Instituto de Astronomía y Geofísica del CITMA, el cual coadyuva a la implementación de la política de planificación territorial en la gestión económico y social local. The geo-ecological diagnosis of the landscapes of the Caimito Municipality, province of La Habana (Bayón, P, 2000), is inserted in the conception of directing environmental investigations towards the interests of the Local Government Bodies, configuring the elaboration of the territorial environmental atlas, through the Project of "Preliminary Environmental Diagnosis of the Caimito Municipality" (Hernández de la Oliva, Ismael ...
