The present work aims to analyze the role of the director / manager in the process of democratization of School Management as an intermediary of actions that are part of school everyday. By specific objectives the work was intended to enumerate situations in which the manager / director favors a democratic management in the school spaces in the municipal network. Analyze situations reported during the interview that demonstrate or not attitudes in favor of a democratic management. Knowing the school reality and the means used by the managers / directors in Democratic Management This study arose from the need to investigate how the manager / director acts in order to conquer the school community to experience democratic management in practice, as a strategy to achieve an education of quality. The research used documents such as the Constitution of 1988, the National Education Plan and supported by the studies of Wittmann and Klippel on Democratic Management sought to analyze daily and current situations for the implementation of management. It was also used a questionnaire applied to about 30 teachers of the municipal education network of the municipality of Esteio inserted in education in the various sectors as teachers, managers / directors from the site survio, with questions that analyze since the time of service, training , desires to be manager / director and his understandings on Democratic Management. With the results it is observed that a self-analysis regarding the vision and conception of democratic management is urgently needed to align the work plans within this premise, in order to unleash in the entire school community the implementation of democratic management with autonomy, pluralism and participation of all.
