Resumen
This research focuses on the of continuing education process of Environmental
Education Specialization Course of the Federal University of Santa Maria, the
distance education mode. We sought to investigate it from the representations of
these subjects facing the educational process of students with special educational
needs included in mainstream education. This research also seek to investigate the
creative ability of future professionals facing the new learning strategies in
environmental education targeted to special students in order to address these
issues in their training. Thus, we could conduct a theoretical discussion which covers
the articulation of the fields of Environmental Education, Special Education and
Social-Educational Inclusion. These aspects were highlighted throughout the
research and made possible rebuild the past of the special education during the
development of inclusive public policies over the years and discuss the formation of
environmental educators. The research used a qualitative approach, adopting the
method of content analysis. Interactive discussions were made in the learning
environment available at the specialization course in environmental education among
the research subjects, in the cities of São Sepé e Panambi, state of Rio Grande do
Sul. The question suggested proposed a specific reflection regarding the points
mentioned above. About this subject, a certain discomfort among the students of the
course became clear, due to the more general format approach of the inclusive
process, considering the difficulties often experienced by the own subjects of this
research, in the day by day in the classroom. However, the discussions collected
show willingness and interest in the educational process of students within the
Environmental Education, bringing significant suggestions for the development of this
work which could promote the educational and social inclusion.
