Integralidade da saúde do idoso na atenção primária à saúde uma revisão integrativa

The world's population has been undergoing a process of demographic transition, arising from
low fertility rates and increased life expectancy. These facts challenges the care networks as
well as the team of professionals to put the health of the elderly in the action agendas, in order
to contemplate the principles of the Health System, of among which the principle of
comprehensiveness. This study aims to identify which are the scientific evidence about the
comprehensiveness of the elderly health in primary health care. The research was performed
in the databases LILACS, PubMed and Scopus, considering publications from 1982. The
descriptores were used according to the index of Descriptors in Health Sciences and the
descriptores suggested by the Medical Subject Headings. The data were collected from
August to October 2015 and 14 articles were included in the corpus of the text. After analysis
of the articles emerged three categories: access to primary care with a view to
comprehensiveness; health services, professional and comprehensiveness care; home care and
family support; which can be understood as scientific evidence. Although necessary, the
comprehensiveness care of the elderly health are not yet a reality becoming a challenge in
Primary Healthcare.
